From December 1st to 2nd, the "2018 China Venture Capital Conference – China VC 20 Years”, hosted by the China Investment Association's Equity and Venture Capital Professional Committee, was held in Xiangcheng, Suzhou. The two-day conference forum brought together more than 1,000 industry experts and institutional leaders.
The forum is based on the theme of “Never forget the original intention and seeing the future”. There are four sessions: the speech forum, the 20-year venture capital festival, the private matchmaking conference, and the night of the city. In the evening of December 1, the forum unveiled more than 10 lists including “China Venture Capital for 20 Years” and “2018 Year” sponsored by the organizers. Zheshang Venture Capital won the "Top 20 Venture Capital Institutions in China for 20 Years" award, and Chairman Chen Yuemeng was awarded the title of "Top 20 Venture Capital Figures in China for 20 Years".

At the opening ceremony held in the morning of December 1st, Concerning six topics of“returning to the origin of venture capital”,“industry policy recommendations”, “the role of various investment entities”, “model innovation and hard technology innovation”, and “industry reshuffle”and“new opportunities for industry development”,the guests made keynote speech and dialogue, exchanging ideas and thoughts.
Mr.Shen Zhiqun, Chairman of the China Investment Association's Equity and Venture Capital Professional Committee, said in the conference: "This year marks the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up of China. Reform and opening up have brought about tremendous changes and world-renowned achievements in China's economic and social development. Venture capital is accompanied by it. The process of entering China has quickly taken root and blossomed on China's land in a short period of time. It has become one of the development achievements in China's reform and opening up capital market, and has become an important force in promoting high-tech industries, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, and accelerating the transformation of kinetic energy.
The road ahead is long and there is a long way to go. We believe that we will not forget the original intention of venture capital and improve the quality of venture capital. China's venture capital will certainly be able to reach a new level and create a new situation, and play a new role for China's high-quality development and make new contributions. ”
Mrs.Xu Xiaobo, inspector of the Finance and Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission,said in the conference: "Start-up investment has entered China since the 1990s. In the past 20 years, China's venture capital industry has grown from nothing to small and China has become the world's second largest investment country. Through years of work practice, we feel that venture capital is the basic engine that supports the country's innovation drive, the investment and financing method to realize the talent innovation factor, and the capital force to promote entrepreneurial innovation. Promoting entrepreneurial innovation and making bigger and better venture capital investment has important practical significance.
To this end, we will carry out several aspects of work: First, further strengthen the status and role of venture capital, and promote the continued healthy and standardized development of the industry. Second, earnestly carry out the supervision of the No. 53 document and actively cooperate with relevant departments to issue policies and measures. The third is to further increase the top-level design and overall coordination of policies and promote inter-departmental coordination mechanisms. Fourth, continue to strengthen the construction of the industry credit system and continue to optimize the credit environment and ecological environment. The fifth is to further promote the construction of laws and regulations related to venture capital, and establish national industry associations with relevant departments. ”
